Funeral services will be held today (Sunday), 2 p.m. at Colomokee Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. The Revs. Fred Odom and Harry Sims will officiate. Born February 25, 1924 in Early County, Mr. Jarrett was a retired farmer and member of Colomokee Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. He was the son of the late Perry Franklin Jarrett and Winnie Dunaway Jarrett. Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Alfrieda King Jarrett of Blakely; two daughters and sons-in-law, Angeline and Leo Wells of Atlanta and Iris and Ed Richards of Lawrenceville; two sons and daughter-in-law, Mack Jarrett Jr. of Douglasville, Eric and Debbie Jarrett of Blakely; a sister, Doris Thomas of Gainesville; five grandsons, Leo Wells IV and Cameron Wells, both of Atlanta, Eric Jarrett Jr. and Jason Jarrett, both of Blakely and Ed Richards of Lawrenceville; and an adopted grandson, Cole Medlin. Pallbearers are Mr. Jarrett's grandsons and adopted grandson.
