Clara Bell Jefferson-James

ALBANY — Clara Bell Jefferson-James, 93, of  W. Gordon Ave., Albany, died 
Sunday, January 5, 2003, at Palmyra Medical Centers.

The graveside funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Valuahlu Cemetery in 
Cuthbert. The Rev. Calvin Rollins will officiate.

A native of Randolph County, Ms. Jefferson-James was born December 13, 1909. 
She was a retired dietitian with the Dougherty County Board of Education. She 
attended Randolph County public schools. She was a member of Friendship Baptist 
Church in Albany.

Survivors include two daughters, Ola Mae Roach of Albany and Lucy L. Daniels of 
West Palm Beach, FL; two sons, Jack James of Detroit, MI, and Earlie James of 
Jacksonville, FL; and 11 grandchildren and several great and great-great 
grandchildren.
