Richard Gilbert Jenkins Sr.

ALBANY — The graveside funeral service of Richard Gilbert Jenkins Sr., 48, of 
1826 Porters Corner Road, Sylvester, died Thursday, January 16, 2003, will be 
conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Floral Memory Gardens. The Rev. Elbert Osteen 
will officiate.

A native and lifelong resident of Albany, Mr. Jenkins was born to Wilburn 
Russell Jenkins and Jennie Mae Parker Jenkins on October 6, 1948, and had moved 
to Worth County eight years ago. He was the owner of Jenkins Contracting 
Company.

Survivors include his wife, Shirlee Hinson Jenkins; a son, Richard Gilbert 
Jenkins Jr. and a daughter, Melissa Marie Jenkins, all of Sylvester; three 
brothers, Gene Russell Jenkins and Ronald Wilson Jenkins, both of Albany, and 
Robert Allen Jenkins of Nashville, TN; two sisters, Wanda Jenkins Pantone of 
Albany and Kathy Levins of Doerun; his stepmother, Betty Hinson of Sylvester; a 
grandson, Robert Gilbert Jenkins III and a granddaughter, Emily Melaine Jenkins.

The family will receive friends at their residence Sunday from 10 a.m. until 6 
p.m.
