Gaynelle McKee Johnson 

ALBANY — Gaynelle McKee Johnson, 66, of Jones Ave. died August 18, 2007, at 
Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. 

The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2007, at Trinity 
Metropolitan Baptist Church 2561 W. Gordon Ave., Albany, with interment in 
Floral Memory Gardens. The Rev. Joseph Howard, pastor and Minister Kimberly 
Walker will officiate. 

Born September 2, 1940, in Durand, GA, Mrs. Johnson was a graduate of 
Meriweather County public schools and a graduate of Albany State University 
where she received her B.S. degree. She was a member of Nothaway C.M.E. Church 
in Newton where she served on the stewardess board and leader of Class {pound}
2. She was also president of the usher board. 

Survivors include her husband, Nelson E. Johnson of Albany; one son, Throne 
Rodriquez “Rod” Johnson of Albany; one sister, Joanne Pharr of Jonesboro; one 
brother, John Frank McKee of Atlanta; a devoted mother and father-in-law, 
Beulah Goins of Micanopy, FL, and Rayfield Johnson of Albany; her in- laws, 
Daisy P. Lofton, Juanita Anderson; several nieces, nephews, cousins and 
friends. 

The remains of Mrs. Johnson will be placed in the church for viewing Saturday 
evening from 1:30 p.m. until the funeral hour.
