Nathanael Johnson 

LEESBURG — The Celebration of life service for Nathanael “Nate” Johnson, 29, of 
Leesburg, GA, who died September 2, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer, 
will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at Sherwood Baptist Church. The Rev. 
John Spencer and Ross Powell will officiate. 

A native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, “Nate” had resided in the Albany area 
since 1998 and worked at Cooper Tire Company. He was a member of Sherwood 
Baptist Church and the Cornerstone Sunday School Class. “Nate” graduated from 
Deercreek High School in 1997 and was an avid fisherman and golfer. 

Survivors include his wife and best friend, Heidi Hailey-Johnson of Leesburg; 
his parents, Loren and Merry Johnson of Albany; a sister and her husband, 
Alicia and Andy Zupan of Oklahoma City, OK; a brother, Clint Johnson of Albany; 
father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ken and Diane Hailey of Leesburg; his 
grandmother, Juanita Maskrod of Bartleville, OK; a sister-in-law and her 
husband, Vera and Eric Lortie of Leesburg; a nephew, Ryley Johnson of 
Monroeville, Al; and his two special cats, Sly and Sprinkles.

Phoebe Foundation, 410 5th Ave., Albany, GA, 31701 or Albany Humane Society, 
1705 Oakridge Drive, Albany, GA 31707.
