Venalyn Eubanks Johnson

ALBANY — The funeral service of Venalyn Eubanks Johnson, 72, of Waddell Avenue 
who died Monday, December 2, 2002, will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at 
Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Charlie Brown will officiate. Interment will 
follow in Floral Memory Gardens.

A native of Newton, Mrs. Johnson had resided in Albany most of her life. She 
was a 1948 graduate of Albany High School. She was the manager of Burnt Tree 
Mobile Home Park and was the owner and operator of Affordable Accounting and 
Tax Preparation. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church and 
the Open Door Sunday School Class. She was a member of Southwest Georgia 
Exchange Club, a former member of the Women of the Moose and Women in 
Construction. Mrs. Johnson was a youth bowling instructor and coach for many 
years.

Survivors include her husband, James Lindsey "Hoss" Johnson of Albany; three 
daughters, Emily Coleen Johnson, Leslie Johnson Pollock and her husband, Wayne 
and Jocelyn (Jo) Johnson, all of Albany; a brother, Merrill Eubanks of Albany; 
four grandchildren, Anna Marie Pollock, Lindsey Johnson, Brandon Pollock and 
Wesley Pollock. She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Lindsey Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
