The memorial service will be 11 AM, today at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors. Rev. Dr. William E. (Butch) Knight will officiate. A native of Olive Hill, KY, and a former resident of Fort Myers, FL, for 40 years, Mrs. Kegley had lived in Albany for the past 9 years, where she attended Avalon United Methodist Church and was a member of the Ladies Bible Sunday School Class. She was an Alpha Delta Kappa, a member of the Eastern Star, and the Forget-Me-Not Club. She graduated from Morehead University and Stetson with degrees in Education and Religious Studies. She taught school for 43 years in Olive Hill, KY, Portsmouth, VA and Ft. Myers, FL. She was an accomplished pianist and organist having served three churches for many years. She was a devoted daughter and a loving mother and devoted wife. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John Woodson Kegley; a daughter, Charlotte Ann Sabie and brother, John Holley Jr. Survivors include her, son, James A. Kegley of Seattle, WA; two daughters, Camilla Kegley Phillips of Albany, Carol Kegley Lewis of Chesapeake, VA; a brother, Jack Fields Holley of Moerhead, KY; 12 grandchildren: Harlis D. Phillips Jr. (Ty), Leah Phillips Sewell, Brandi Jackson, Myna Bashford, Liza Young, Leah Simmons, Livia Kegley, John Kegley, Leana Kegley, Tobie Sabie, Zane Sabie, Summer Sabie; 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
