Albany Herald - Obituaries
AMERICUS — Barbara Larson Kiker, 85, of 108 Woodcrest Court, Americus, died 
Friday, July 6, 2007, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. 

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2007, from the 
graveside at Oak Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Hugh DeLoach and the Rev. Brian Myers 
will officiate. 

The family will receive friends at 108 Woodcrest Court, Americus. 

Mrs. Kiker was born May 14, 1922, in Monticello, MO. She was the daughter of 
the late Albin Lawrence Larson and the late Jenny Cooley Larson. She was a 
floral designer for many years and was a former member of Glenwood Baptist 
Church in Oak Ridge, TN, where she served as Sunday School teacher and 
superintendent, WMU President, and Circle Leader. After retiring in 1982, she 
and her husband moved to Americus and joined Central Baptist Church. 

Survivors include one daughter, Gay Kiker Smith of Americus; one son, Jack 
Kiker of San Francisco, CA; a granddaughter, Leslie Smith Reese and husband, 
Dean of Leesburg; one sister, Glenice Larson Terry of Americus; a niece, Carol 
Kiker Townsend of Americus; and two great- grandchildren, Braden and Carley 
Reese of Leesburg. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ned Jackson Kiker Sr. in 1983.
