Landin January 04, 1927 - August 02, 2007 A native of Orona ME, Mr. Landin had lived in Dawson before coming to Albany. He served his Country as a member of the United States Navy during World War II and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and the American Area Medal. He was employed by several manufacturing firms and was involved with the development of air conditioning of the early space suits. He is survived by his wife, Patricia McKay Landin of Albany, his daughter Gloria H. Shiverdecker of Alexander City AL, 5 sons: Glenn H. Landin of Forsyth, Craig M. Landin of Hinesville, Clifton E. Landin of Columbus Ohio, Wayne A. Landin of Albany and Walter F. Landin of Hinesville; 11 grandchildren; a sister Phyllis Landin; and 3 brothers: Carl Landin of W. Palm Beach FL, Ronnie Landin of Murphy NC, and Eric Landin of Eastman In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be to Milton A. Landin Memorial Fund, C/O Mr. Wayne Landin, 811 1st Ave., Apt B, Albany, GA 31701. A memorial service will be held 10AM Monday at the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour ELCA with Rev. Connie Bramlett officiating. The interment service will be held at 3 PM in Andersonville National Cemetery.
