June 27, 2007

The graveside service of Mary Jane Lane, 64, of Gail Ave., Albany, GA., who 
died Wednesday June 27, 2007 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, will be 
conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Andersonville National Cemetery.  Rev. Bobby 
Moye will officiate.
 
A native of Thomaston, GA, Mrs. Lane had resided in Albany since 1979 moving 
from Vallejo, CA.  She was a homemaker and a Baptist faith and was preceded in 
death by her parents, William Dozier Melton and Inez Ruth George Melton. 

Survivors include her husband, Charles D. Lane of Albany, GA, three sons, Espy 
Wayne Carroll and Daryl Lane both of Columbus, GA, and David Lane of Moultrie, 
GA, three daughters, Yolanda Jane Carroll of Alpharetta, GA, Cathy Ann 
Underwood and her husband, Chris of Phoenix City, AL and Clarinda Wells and her 
husband, Bill of Leesburg, GA, a brother, Larry Melton of Albany, GA, a sister, 
Carolyn Melton of Columbus, GA, eight grandchildren, Cody Allen Lane, Nathan 
Daniel Lane, Tyler Shade McDowell, Zachary Daryl Lane, Amanda Jane Cato, 
Christopher Underwood, Branden Scott Martin, and Breanna Kaitlyn Martin and one 
great-grandson. 

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mathews Funeral 
Home.
