Graveside funeral services will be today (Sunday) at 2 p.m. at Corinth Cemetery in Iron City, with the Rev. Luther Hastey will be the officiating minister. Visitation was held on Saturday, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Lane was a native of Seminole County, and the son of the late Homer and Hattie Ingram Lane. He had lived in Iron City his entire life. Mr. Lane worked for Donalsonville Motor Company for 25 years before starting his own business, Lane's Liquor Store, which he owned for 25 years before retiring in 1983. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army, a member of the Veterans of Foreign War, and the Iron City Lions Club. Mr. Lane leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 56 years, Hazel Turvin Lane of Iron City; one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Lane Saunders and Doug of Sylvester; a grandson, John Lane Saunders of Sylvester; two sisters, Bessie Miller and Ila Ferguson, both of Iron City; a sister-in-law, Helen T. Camp of Albany; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, James M. Lane; and two sisters, Dixie Roberts and Louise Frey Cross.
