Helen Harrell Linder

CHARLESTON, S.C. —Helen Harrell Linder, 82, wife of Jack Lamar Linder Sr. of 
Charleston, S.C., died Thursday, January 23, 2003. She was born Tuesday, 
February 3, 1920, in Moultrie, GA, the daughter of the late M. Frank and Opal 
Ott Harrell. Mrs. Linder was a graduate of Moultrie High School in Georgia and 
a sales associate for 25 years with Hamilton Jewelers in Charleston.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Nelson L. Little and her husband Gil of 
Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; two sons, Jack L. Linder Jr. and his wife Mary of Easley, 
S.C., Dr. Stephen E. Linder and his wife Jackie of Chapin, S.C.; a sister, 
Judith Ann Sanders of Camilla, GA; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2003, at Ashley 
River Baptist Church in Charleston. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Memorial 
Gardens, Mt. Pleasant, S.C.

Friends may call at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, Charleston, today from 
5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and again Sunday at the church from 1 p.m. to time of service.

Memorial may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen 
Allen, VA 23058-5216 or to Ashley River Baptist Church, 1101 Savannah Hwy., 
Charleston, S.C. 29407.
