William Kenneth Lockhart

ALBANY — William "Bill" Kenneth Lockhart, 67, of Hiawassee, GA, formerly of 
Albany, died Saturday, October 26, 2002, at his residence.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, 11 A.M. at Kimbrell-Stern. Interment 
will be in Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery in Sumner, GA. The Rev. Dan 
Robinson will officiate.

A native of Guin, AL, Mr. Lockhart served twenty years in the Military Police 
in US Air Force, retiring in Albany. He worked with the Dougherty County 
Sheriffs Office as jailer, patrolman and investigator. He worked security for 
Roses Stores Inc., Rosenbergs, and Gayfers Department Store. He had a black 
belt in Judo, taught classes in self-defense and did private investigations. He 
was a Mason.

Survivors include two sons, Tony Lockhart of Tallahassee, FL, Karl Lockhart of 
Albany; daughter, Cindy Lockhart of Albany; brothers, Grady Lockhart of 
Douglasville, GA, Danny Lockhart of Tifton, GA; sisters, Louise Lockhart 
Waldrop of Tifton, GA, Charlene Lockhart Sanders of Americus, GA, Lorine 
Lockhart Kendricks of Douglasville, GA, Robbie Lockhart Tippins of 
Douglasville, GA, Carolyn Lockhart Willis of Ty Ty, GA, Gay Nell Lockhart Lang 
of Tifton, GA; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded 
in death by his parents, William C. Lockhart and Velma Graham Lockhart and a 
sister, Dot Lockhart Baxter.

The family will receive friends Friday at Kimbrell-Stern from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M.
