The funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at First Assembly of God with interment in Crown Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Gilbert Harris and the Rev. Craig Howell will officiate. Mr. Logue was born February 26, 1926, in Grady County, GA, where he lived with his parents, six brothers and sisters until he entered the United States Marine Corp. He served in the South Pacific and China during World War II. After leaving the service of his country, he returned to Albany where he made his home. Mr. Logue was married to Mable Barnett Logue who preceded him in death. He was a member of First Assembly of God and a former member of the Albany Civitan Club and the Albany Rotary Club. He had worked at and had been a previous part owner of the Albany Hardware Company for over 50 years. He was a past Sunday School teacher, R.A. leader and had served Meals on Wheels. Mr. Logue is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Shannon Logue of Marietta, GA, and Stan and Jackie Logue of Roswell, GA; four grandchildren, Tyler, Chase, Katy and Abby; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harvey and Sara Logue of Cairo, GA, and Douglas and Mary Lou Logue of Whigham, GA; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Virginia Gainous and her husband Ted of Bradenton, Fla., and Rena Johns of Live Oak, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Hazel Hughes and her husband Billy of Albany and Martha Barnett of Winder, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern today from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Those desiring, please make memorials to Albany Rescue Mission, 604 N. Monroe Street, Albany, GA 31701.
