Rupert Stafford Long

ALBANY — The funeral service of Rupert Stafford Long, 74, of 517 Summit 
Dr., Albany, who died Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at Phoebe Putney Memorial 
Hospital, will be conducted Friday, April 22, 2005, at Albany Grace 
Church of the Nazarene at 3 p.m. Pastors Hilton Gillespie and Ike Branch 
will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Thomas County, Mr. Long had resided in Albany for the past 
55 years. He was a retired master machinist/mill wright, an Army veteran 
and a member of Albany Grace Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Doris H. Long; a son and his wife, 
Gary and Dana Long, all of Albany; a daughter, Pamela L. Long of Gulf 
Breeze, Fla.; a brother, B.L. Long of Sylvester; a sister, Carnell L. Daws 
of Columbus; four grandchildren, James Stafford Long, Casey Thomas Coco, 
Shelby Allene Link and Becky Marie Long; two great-grandchildren, Elana 
Marie Long and Daniel Wynne Turner Jr. and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends today from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Mathews 
Funeral Home.
