J.D. Lovett

SYLVESTER — J.D. Lovett, 75, of Oak Street, Sylvester, died Monday, October 14, 
2002, at Tift Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Northside Baptist Church with 
interment in Hillcrest Cemetery. Dr. Danny Lovett and the Rev. Jerry Cooper 
will officiate.

A native of Worth County, Mr. Lovett had lived there most of his life. He was 
retired from the Sylvester Fire Department after 15 years and from the Marine 
Corps Logistics Base in Albany after 25 years as a fireman. He was a member of 
Worth Lodge #194 F & AM having received his 25th year Pin. He was also a member 
of Northside Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Dr. Danny Lovett and wife, Susan of Forest, VA; 
daughter, Dreama Marie Lovett of Sylvester; sister, Hazel L. Johnson of Dothan, 
Ala.; five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrene Walls 
Lovett and parents, James Otis and Katie Willis Lovett.

The family will receive friends today from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
