The funeral will be at 2PM Monday at Sherwood Baptist Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery. The Revs. Dr. Michael Catt, Tony Haefs, and Dr. William A. Smith will officiate. A native of Wrightsville, Mr. McCoy was a retired senior supervisor and inspector with the Civil Service at the Marine Corps Logistic Base. He formerly taught the Adult Sunday School Class at Calvary Baptist Church. He was a member and deacon of Sherwood Baptist Church and served in the Army during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Wren McCoy of Albany; a son, Roy W. McCoy II of Griffin; two daughters, Pat M. Harrod of Albany and Martha M. Cheek of Carrollton; a sister, Katie M. O'Quinn of Savannah; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at 3-6PM today at Mathews Oaklawn Chapel Funeral Home. The family is at the residence of Tom and Pat Harrod, 211 Wade Drive, Albany. Additional Comments: Roy was born 13 Jun 1915 to Napolean Benjamine McCoy and Mattie Mae Tyson McCoy.
