The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Banks Funeral Home with interment in Evergreen Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The Rev. Grady Morey will officiate. A native and lifelong resident of Worth County, Mr. McCrary was born October 26, 1912. He was a retired farmer, former police officer with the city of Sylvester, formerly employed with Keenan's Auto Parts and served as a carrier with The Albany Herald. He was a member of F&AM #194 since August 3, 1954, and had received his 25 year pin. Mr. McCrary was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was the son of the late Homer Clarence McCrary and Ettie McDonald McCrary. He was preceded in death June 14, 1973, by his wife, Eunnie Potts McCrary. Survivors include a daughter, Wynell M. Black of Sylvester; son, David McCrary of Columbus; brother, Bartley McCrary of Columbus; six grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
