Mary Bass Mitchell

ALBANY — Mary Bass Mitchell, 88, of Beverly Ave., died Tuesday, December 17, 
2002, at Palmyra Nursing Home following an illness.

The funeral service will be Thursday, 2 p.m. at Floral Memory Gardens. The Rev. 
Ken Chancellor will officiate.

A native of Clinton, NC, Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker and was a member of 
Lakeside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Leon M. Mitchell Sr. of Albany; two sons, David 
Williams and wife Janie of Albany, Leon M. Mitchell Jr. and wife Cynthia of 
Albany; two daughters, Marvena Griffin and husband Donald of Roanoke, VA, and 
Gail Mitchell of Albany; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Those desiring please make memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.

The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern today from 7 p.m. until 8:30 
p.m.
