Ella Mae Glass Mock

ALBANY — Ella Mae Glass Mock, 79, of 1704 W. Broad Ave. went to be with the 
Lord 
on Tuesday, January 20, 2004, at her home after a lengthy illness. Her funeral 
service will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at Raleigh White Baptist Church. The 
Rev. 
Tom Newman and the Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow in 
Crown 
Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Mock was born October 29, 1924 in Miller County to B.A. Glass and Eddie 
Easom 
Glass. Mrs. Mock moved to Albany in 1950 and was a member of Raleigh White 
Baptist 
Church. Mrs. Mock was cashier and co-owner of Magnolia Street Grocery for 
twenty-
two years. She was always a homemaker, best mother and the world's best Memaw.

Mrs. Mock was a loving wife and mother of three children. Survivors include her 
husband of fifty-eight years, John Lofton Mock of Albany; two sons and their 
wives, 
Walter Ray and Carole Mock, George Hiram and Janet Mock all of Albany; a 
daughter, 
Darlene Mock Wallace and her husband Timothy J. Wallace of Albany; eight 
grandchildren, Quinton Mock and his wife Jessica, Shannon Mock, Lauren Mock, 
Blake 
Mock, Abbey Mock, Jeremie Wallace and his wife Stephanie, Brian Wallace and 
Christen 
(Cissy) Wallace; one great-grandchild, Lofton Wong Mock. Survivors also include 
a 
sister, Betty Glass Adams; a brother and his wife, Lester and Decimer Glass all 
of 
Donalsonville, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family would sincerely like to thank Albany Outreach Center (ACTO), 314 N. 
Jefferson St., Albany, GA. 31702 and Albany Community Hospice, P.O. Box 1828, 
Albany, 
GA. 31702. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to either of these 
organizations.

Mrs. Mock will lie in state at her residence and her family will receive 
friends 
from 12 noon today until 12 noon Thursday, at which time she will be taken to 
Raleigh 
White Baptist Church.

We will always love and adore our Mama and Memaw.
