                   J. E. Nichols Succumbs Here
 James Edward Nichols, 75, of 807 A. N. Davis St., died Friday at Phoebe 
Putney Hospital. He had been ill for several years.
 Mr. Nichols had lived in Albany for many years and was a carpenter by trade.
 Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beulah Maybelle Lokey Nichols; two 
daughters, Mrs. Dave Brown of Loraine, Ohio and Mrs. A. G. Moushanner 
(actually Maushammer) of Miami, Fla.; three sons, J. V. Nichols of 
Jacksonville, C. O. Nichols and N. E. Nichols, both of Albany; four 
stepdaughters, Mrs. Gladys Lacavara of Brigantine, NJ, Mrs. E. H. Papa of 
Stratford, NJ, Mrs. Louise Frazer of Blytheville, Ark., and Mrs. Billy Mahe of 
Albany; one stepson, Fred McDonald of Albany; and 11 grandchildren.
 The funeral will be held Sunday at 3:30pm at the Eight Avenue Church of God 
with the Rev. LeRoy Carver, pastor, officiating. Pallbearers will be Bill 
Kelly, Frank Chapman, A. J. Willis, Joseph Payne, Bill Mahe, Jack Mitchell, 
and Fred McDonald. Interment will be in Thundering Springs Cemetery with 
arrangements by Oaklawn Chapel Funeral Directors.
 The body will be at the residence until the funeral hour. In lieu of Flowers, 
the family requests those desiring to do so, to make contributions to the 
Cancer Society or the Easter Seal Treatment Center.

Additional Comments:
James was born 12 Aug 1891 to James E. Nichols and Ellen J. Griggs Nichols. 
His first wife was Sarah Delilah Townsend Nichols who is buried in Evergreen 
Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Ga. Georgia death certificate #030212.
