Mathews Funeral Home - Obituaries
The funeral service of Charles Adam Orton, 87, of  Leesburg, GA.., who died 
July 13, 2007 at his residence will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the 
chapel of Crown Hill  Mausoleum. Rev. Bobby Paul will officiate.

Born in Lancaster, WI., Mr. Orton had resided in Leesburg, Ga. for the last 
sixty plus years. He was an Army veteran of WW II serving with the 658th. 
Amphibian Battalion in New Guinea, New Britian and the Phillipines and had 
worked for the Dougherty County Board of Education in the maintenance 
Department for thirty three and a half years before retiring to do his wood 
working, the second love of his life, Frances being number one. He was a 
Christian by faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank S. Orton and 
Nettie Shumate Orton and all of his brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Frances Orton, Leesburg, GA., two 
daughters, Barbara Waite and husband Nelson of Kernersville, NC. and June 
Morris and husband Jacky of Leesburg, GA., a son, Fred Orton and his wife Sue, 
Leesburg, GA., six grandchildren, Tim West, Theresa Morton, Michele Vickers, 
Allan Orton, Rick Taylor and Tony Morris, six great-grandchildren and a 
multitude of friends.

The family will receive friends after  the funeral service.
