Betty Bishop Owens

ALBANY — Betty Bishop Owens, 55, of Capers Lane died Monday, October 21, 2002, 
at her residence of an apparent heart attack.

Funeral service Wednesday, 11 A.M. at Kimbrell-Stern with cremation to follow. 
The Rev. Pete Daughtry officiating.

A native of Atlanta, she had lived in Albany since 1977 and worked with the 
State of Georgia, Mental Health and Substance Division. Mrs. Owens attended 
Albany Bible Church. She was preceded in death by her son, John Gary Bishop and 
parents, William C. and Elizabeth Wilson Stevens.

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Owens of Albany; brother and sister-in-
law, Sam and Carolyn Stevens of Albany; 15 nieces and nephews.

Those desiring please make memorials to Albany Humane Society, 1705 Oakridge 
Drive, Albany, GA 31707, or a favorite charity.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. today at Kimbrell-
Stern.
