Pye Redstar36@aol.com April 1, 2004, 6:04 pm Moultrir Observer, Moultrie, Georgia - 10 Jan 2004 MOULTRIE -- Lillie Mae Gay Pye, 69, of Moultrie died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, at New Elm Baptist Church with the Revs. Quenten Barnes and Clovis Jackson officiating. Burial will be in New Elm Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Gay, Lynn Gay, James Williams, Darrell Hagin, Randy Weldon and Gordon Crosby. The deacons of New Elm Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. Born Jan. 8, 1935, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Pye was the daughter of the late Abel Gay and Grace Hill Gay Key. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of New Elm Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Danny Pye, and a brother, Eldridge Hill. Survivors include three daughters, Sherri Price of Tallahassee, Fla., Debbie Redding and husband Jerry of Doerun, and Sandra Moseley and husband Gene of Covington; three brothers, Buddy Gay of Thomasville, Harry Gay of Kentucky and Gerald Gay of Alabama; two sisters, Onita Castleberry of Pensacola, Fla., and Donna Brown of Thomasville; four grandchildren, Nicole West, Tonya McMurphy, Natalie Redding and Adam Moseley; two great-grandchildren, Angel and Joshua James McMurphy; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
