Palmour CORDELE — James O. Palmour, 99, of Magnolia Manor Retirement Center in Americus died Sunday, January 5, 2003, at his residence. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home with interment in Penia Baptist Church cemetery. The Rev. Beth Bevel will officiate. A native of Dawson County, Mr. Palmour was a retired farmer and merchant. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Cordele Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of Wenona United Methodist Church. Survivors include his son, James S. Palmour of Chattanooga, TN; daughter, Judy P. Hobbs of Macon; brother, Charles Palmour of Gainesville, Fla.; two sisters, Irma Lovell of Ocala, Fla., and Nadine Knight of Anthony, Fla.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Sanders Palmour. Visitation will be 6 p.m.-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
