Charles C. Pavy

ALBANY — Charles C. "Chuck" Pavy, 71, of Pine Valley Road in Albany died 
Saturday, December 14, 2002 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

The funeral services will be Monday, 2 p.m. at Kimbrell-Stern. The Rev. Tony 
Haefs officiating. Entombment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of New Orleans, LA, Mr. Pavy has lived in Albany most of his life 
where he was of the Catholic faith and retired from the U.S. Marine Corp., 
where he was the youngest Buck Sgt. to serve in the military.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Pavy of Albany; three daughter, Debbie Phelps 
and husband, David of Camilla, Debbie Dorn and husband, James Jr. of 
Jacksonville, NC, Cathy Bowers of Hookstown, PA; son, Joey Pavy and wife, 
Janice, of Madison, NC; four grandchildren, Jennifer Rigsby and husband, Brent 
of Albany, Caroline Glenn and husband, Sonny of Moultrie, Rebecca Phelps and 
David Phelps, both of Camilla; and nine additional grandchildren and 13 great-
grandchildren.

The family will receive friends today (Sunday) from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at the 
funeral home, and will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Brent Rigsby, 1200 
River Pointe Drive, Albany, 31701.
