Jane Kelley Peacock

AMERICUS — Jane Kelley Peacock, 76, died Friday, December 6, 2002 at her 
residence.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today (Sunday), graveside at Oak Grove 
Cemetery, with the Revs. Jarrell Lillard and Doug James officiating. The family 
will receive friends at the residence of Bobby Peacock Jr., 650 Hwy., 27 East, 
Americus.

Ms. Peacock was born March 20, 1926, daughter of the late Hill Stapleton and 
Sue Weisiger. She was a honor graduate of Americus High School, attended 
Georgia Southwestern College, and was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. 
She retired from the Bank of Commerce, now Wachovia Bank and from Sumter 
Regional Hospital, where she kept records for Drs. Robinson, Dudley and 
Teaford. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Americus.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Linda Jane Hayes and Thomas E. 
Hayes of Columbus; one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Peacock Jr. and Cookie 
Peacock of Americus; one grandson and his wife, Travis and Erin Wright of 
Ellaville; and three great-grandchildren.

The family request memorials to be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Ann 
Harris, 1810 Rose Ave., Americus, GA 31709.
