Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at Ft. Mitchell Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, AL, with the Rev. Sharon Smith officiating. Jack Lovell Perkins was born April 30, 1948, in Mitchell County to the late Bennie Harvel and Sarah Myrtis Perkins. He had worked as a mechanic for many years. A veteran in the United States Army, Mr. Perkins served his country during the Vietnam Era. He had a special love for animals and enjoyed the outdoors. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Julie Fields and her husband, Steve Fields, Juanita Perkins and her partner, Drew Hall, all of Prattville, AL; one brother, Jerald Perkins; and five sisters, Margaret Allen, June Leverett, Dot Stripling, Hazel Herron and Kay Carroll; four grandchildren, Bailey, Will, Pearson and Kaitlyn. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at Hall & Hall Funeral Home.
