The funeral will be at noon Saturday, December 21, 2002, at Highway To Heaven Church, 448 Walnut Street SE, Dawson, GA. Pastor L.B. Ingram is pastor. The Rev. Freddie Castle will officiate. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery. Mr. Pollard attended the public schools of Terrell County, GA. He enlisted in the United States Army and served in World War II and was honorably discharged. Later he worked as a carpenter until his health failed. Left to cherish his memory are two devoted daughters, Shirley Bell Williams (Lawrence) of Columbus, GA, and Eleanor Bell Waller of Tifton, GA; four grandchildren, Herbert Bernard Bell (Dot), and Meshaun Bell Judge of Columbus, GA, Marvin McKendall Waller and Michael Steven Waller, both of Tifton, GA; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mattie Sue Pollard and Jaratha Griffin Pollard; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; a devoted nephew, John Pace (Mary) and a very devoted niece, Annie Pollard, of Dawson, GA.
