Melinda Gail Proctor

SYLVESTER — Melinda Gail (Step) Proctor, 36, of N. Washington St., Sylvester, 
died Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Missionary Baptist 
Church in Isabella with interment in Shepard Memorial Garden in Sylvester. The 
Rev. Patrick Hosley will officiate.

Born December 19, 1969, in Orlando (Orange County), FL, Mrs. Proctor was 
educated in the Worth County Public School System. She graduated from Worth 
County High School in 1988. She was a packer at Tifton Aluminum Company, 
Tifton, GA, for 7 years. She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church in 
Isabella, GA, where she served as a member of the usher board.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Sindy; four sons, Jamaer Proctor, Joshua 
Proctor, Sherrod Proctor and Jerrod Proctor; one sister, Patricia Cooley; 
father, Mallie Proctor; mother, Mary Helen Proctor; grandmother, Myrthie Lee 
Proctor; a host of other relatives.
