Alice Ruth Shiver Pye

ALBANY — Alice Ruth Shiver Pye, 76, of Albany died Sunday, July 30, 2006, at 
her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2006, at 
Lighthouse Ministries, 2320 S. Liberty Expressway, Albany, GA with the Rev. 
Chris E. Turner officiating. Mrs. Pye will be placed at the church from 10 a.m. 
until the funeral hour. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Alice Ruth Shiver Pye was born September 15, 1929, in Pelham, GA. Mrs. Pye 
was the daughter of the late William Shiver and Mamie Hall Shiver; and was also 
preceded in death by her husband, Walter Albert Pye and her son, John Walter 
Pye. She was affiliated with Lighthouse Ministries.

Survivors include her son, Phil Albert and Lorine Pye of Columbus; three 
daughters, Brenda and Bobby Hagan of Las Cruces, NM, Linda Casey and Patricia 
and Dennis McCook, both of Albany; her brother, William Lee and Gean Shiver of 
Dawson; two sisters, Mary Shiver and Betty Shiver, both of Leesburg; 11 
grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Hall & Hall Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 
p.m. today, August 1, 2006.
