James A. Rewis

SYLVESTER — James A. Rewis, 71, of Sumner, died Thursday, January 30, 2003, at 
his son's residence in Mitchell County.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pine Forest Baptist Church with 
interment in Pine Forest Cemetery. The Revs. Brad Hughes and the Rev. Gene 
Snipes will officiate.

Born September 16, 1931, in Worth County, Mr. Rewis was retired after 20 years 
from Marine Corps Logistics Base and was also formerly employed by Coats & 
Clark of Albany for 15 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War 
and also retired from the Army National Guard. He was a member of Pine Forest 
Baptist Church where he sang in the choir.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearlie and Mattie Fussell Rewis and a 
son, Gordon Rewis, January 19, 1995.

The family will receive friends today from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Banks Funeral 
Home.
