Joseph Collis Ringo Jr.

ALBANY — Joseph Collis Ringo Jr., 73, of Bascom Drive in Albany, GA, died 
Monday, October 21, 2002, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

The memorial service will be Thursday, 11 A.M. at Porterfield Memorial United 
Methodist Church Haley Chapel. The Rev. Nathan Godley and the Rev. Nancy 
Scarbrough officiating.

A native of Lexington, KY, Mr. Ringo had lived in Albany for 10 months where he 
was a member of Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church. Mr. Ringo served 
in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a graduate of Valdosta 
State University and Florida State University where he received his Doctorate 
degree.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita M. Ringo of Albany, GA; two sons, Joseph 
Collis Ringo III of Jefferson, GA, and Jody Cornwell of Tallahassee, FL; two 
grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Marty Branaman of Henderson, 
KY.

The family will receive friends at Portefield Memorial United Methodist Church 
one hour prior to the service.
