Opal Dorminey Roberts

SYLVESTER — Opal Dorminey Roberts, 83, of  Sylvester, died Tuesday, January 28, 
2003, at Lee County Health Care.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Banks Funeral Chapel with interment in 
Providence Cemetery. Elder Roger McDonald and the Rev. Lamar Ledford will 
officiate.

A native of Dooly County, Mrs. Roberts was born April 3, 1919. She had lived in 
Worth County most of her life and was a member of New Bethel Freewill Baptist 
Church. Mrs. Roberts' parents were the late Joe Dorminey and Kate Irvin 
Dorminey. She was the widow of Jesse T. Roberts who died January 21, 1963. She 
was preceded in death October 8, 1969, by a son, Freddie Joe Roberts.

Survivors include a daughter, Annette R. Cox of Albany; son, Bobby T. Roberts 
of Sylvester; sister, Katie Lois McDonald of Sylvester; six grandchildren and 
15 great-grandchildren.
