(Robby) Robinson (Gunny Sgt. USMC Retired), 62, of 3205 Sylvester Rd. Lot 39, Albany, who died Tuesday, July 25, 2006 will be conducted Friday at 10 A.M. at First Baptist Church of Albany. Rev. Keith Gaines and Dr. William L (Butch) Knight, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery with full Military Honors and Masonic Rites. A native of Gloskow, KY. Mr.Robinson moved to Albany in 1986 and resided hhere until 2001, when he moved to Huntsville. AL and returned to Albany n 2006. He was a retired United States Marine serving in Vietnam. Mr. Robinson was also a retired civil service supply technician. Mr. Robinson was a member of Dougherty Lodge # 591 F & AM, was a York Rite Mason and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was also a member of the VFW Post # 2785 and Hasan Shrine Center, where he served on The Legion of Honor. He was a member of The First Baptist Church of Albany and The Pursuits Sunday School Class. Survivors include: his wife, Kay Robinson of Albany, a daughter, Robbie Demse Gay of Houston, TX, a granddaughter, Tyier Gay of Houston, TX, a sister, Margaret Cole of Chattanooga, TN, two brothers, Howard Robinson of Louisville, KY, Clarence Thompson of Jeffersonville, IN, two step daughters, Sharon Grimsley of Albany and Alicia Mitehell of Camp LeJune, NC., a special nephew, William Justice of Chattanooga, TN., two step granddaughters, Kristian Taylor Grimsley and Megan Elizabeth Mitehell, two step grandsons, William Bryce Mitehell and Steven Lee Grimsley, who in June, enlisted in The United States Marine Corps. The family will receive friends from 5 RM. until 7 P.M. today at the funeral home.
