Harriette Jeanette Rogers

CAMILLA — Harriette Jeanette Rogers, 86, of Camilla died Thursday, December 12, 
2002, at the Camilla Retirement Village.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today at Camilla United Methodist Church with 
burial in Oakview Cemetery. The Rev. Gene Yelverton will officiate.

Pallbearers include James Knox Hilliard Jr., Martin W. Hilliard, Edward N. 
Hilliard, Tommy L. Hilliard Sr., John E. Hilliard and Tommy L. Hilliard Jr.

Born June 25, 1916, in Ben Hill County, Miss Rogers was owner of Hawthorne 
Jewelers of Camilla. She was a graduate of the University of Georgia in 1939 
with a B.S. degree in Home Economics. She was the daughter of the late Albert 
S. and Anna M. Powell Rogers. She was a member of Camilla United Methodist 
Church. Miss Rogers was preceded in death by her lifelong friend, Helen 
Hilliard.

Survivors include four cousins, Hugh Powell of Jacksonville, FL, Dottie Pruitt 
of Montgomery, AL, Elizabeth Tabor of Perry, GA, and Min Bowers of Milton, FL; 
her special caretaker, Louise Hayes of Camilla; her honorary family, four 
generations of the E.L. Hilliard family of Camilla.

Visitation will be 10 a.m.-11 a.m. today at Camilla United Methodist Church.
