Clyde James Ross

ALBANY — Clyde James Ross, 68, of 1662 McArthur Street died Saturday, January 
11, 2003, at Palmyra Nursing Home.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Albany 
with interment in Lebanon Cemetery in Plains. The Rev. Dr. James Rodgers will 
officiate.

A native of Sumter County, Mr. Ross was born September 6, 1934. He was a 
retired truck driver for Florida Cemetery Company. He attended Sumter County 
public schools and was a member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sisters, Annie Rhodes and Alice Jones, both of Albany 
and Mary Ann Raven of Americus; one son, Clyde Ross of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 
two daughters, Athelia Ross and Phelisha Ross, both of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 
and seven grandchildren.
