Clara J. Rouse 

ALBANY — Clara J. Rouse, 69, of  Colquitt Ave. died August 18, 2007, at Phoebe 
Putney Memorial Hospital. 

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church with 
interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. Richard Jordan will officiate. 

Born April 28, 1938, in Baker County, Mrs. Rouse was educated in the Baker 
County School System. She was retired. Mrs. Rouse was a member of St. Paul 
Baptist Church. 

Survivors include children, Betty (Luther) Robinson of Decatur, Joan (Clarence) 
Scott of Montgomery, AL, Nadine (Joseph) Harris of Albany, Johnny Thomas of 
Albany, Beverly (Bruce) Athon of San Diego, CA, Dexter (Tina) Thomas of Albany, 
Tracy (Charles) Prince and Stephanie (James) Thomas of Montgomery, AL; twenty 
grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; one brother, Roy Lee McCoy of Tampa, 
FL; two aunts; three sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, 
cousins and friends. 

Visitation will be from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at Elliott Funeral Home 
Chapel.
