Her funeral service will be Saturday 3 PM at the Walden Chapel of First United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Donald M. Kea will officiate. Mrs. Ruehl was born October 8, 1916 in Decatur, AL. She was married to Erwin Henry Ruehl on April 19, 1941. As newly weds, they made their home in Albany. Marjorie and Erwin commented many times the Dogwoods were in full bloom that April when they drove into Albany on US 19. They became members of First United Methodist Church. They were in church at First Methodist on that infamous day in December 1941. Mrs. Ruehl was a member of the Eleanor Hawk Sunday School Class and the Wesleyan Service Guild. Erwin Ruehl preceded her in death on October 2, 1995. She is survived by her children: Charles Erwin Ruehl, his wife Phoebe, their children; Charles Ruehl, Jr., his wife Melissa, Clifton, and Martin, his wife Jennifer and their son William Benjamin; Patsy Scott and her children; Andy, Beaux, and Dan Patrick; David Allen Ruehl, his wife Lynn and their children Katie and husband Manny Thompson and Keiser. She is also survived by two nephews: Joe and Chunn Sneed; two nieces: Amanda “FiFi” Twitty and Ann Rhodes. The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern on Friday from 6 PM to 8 PM.
