Chloe Webb Shephard

COLUMBUS — Chloe Webb Shephard, 90, of Columbus, died Monday, January 27, 2003, 
at Oak Manor Nursing Facility in Columbus.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Parkhill Cemetery. The 
family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.

Mrs. Shephard was born October 2, 1912, in Ozark, AL, the daughter of the late 
Walter W. Webb and Bessie Judah Webb. She had lived in Columbus most of her 
life and was a charter member of Wynnton Baptist Church (Wynnbrook) and was a 
member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. Mrs. Shephard was retired from 
Sears Roebuck as a department manager, and was a member of ABWA (American 
Business Women's Association). She was preceded in death by her husband, E.C. 
(Shep) Shephard Jr.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Gay Shephard of 
Albany; a granddaughter, Stephanie Shephard of Atlanta; and two sisters-in-law, 
Gladys Shephard Singleton of Tacoma, WA, and Elizabeth P. Webb of Columbus; two 
nieces, Beth (Luther) Stanton and Debbie (Butch) Beatty of Columbus; several 
great nieces and nephews.
