Lula Mae Smith

ASHBURN — Lula Mae Smith, 79, Ashburn, died Friday, January 31, 2003, at 
Rockdale Hospital in Conyers.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Hope Baptist Church in Sycamore 
with interment in Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn. The Rev. Charles 
Anderson, pastor, with the Rev. Eddie Ferguson officiating.

A native of Turner County, Mrs. Smith was born November 10, 1923. She was 
educated in the Turner County public school system, was a member of the Usher 
Board of Zion Hope Baptist Church and had been employed as a cook.

Survivors include a son, Freddie Lee Temple of Ashburn; two sisters, Evelyn 
Robinson and Betty Jean Moore, both of Atlanta; brother-in-law, Hubert Lawson 
of Ashburn; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great 
grandchildren.
