William Warren Snook Jr.

ALBANY — The memorial service of William Warren (Bill) Snook Jr., 74, of Live 
Oak Circle, who died Sunday, December 1, 2002, will be conducted Wednesday at 
10 a.m. at the Marine Corp Base Chapel with full military honors. Chaplain LCDR 
R.C. Richards will officiate. Interment at Andersonville National Cemetery.

A native of Orting, Washington, Mr. Snook had lived in Albany for the past 20 
years. He was retired Master Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps and was retired 
civil service as a data processor. Mr. Snook was a member of V.F.W. Post 2785, 
NARFE and U.S.S. General H.W. Butner Reunion Association.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Pickels Snook of Albany; son, William V. 
Snook of Orlando, FL; two daughters, Patti Pickels Hyre and her husband Mark of 
Charlotte, NC, and Heidi Pickels O'Brien of Tallahassee, FL; a sister, Nita 
Snook Jones of CA; four grandchildren, William J. and Jessica Snook and 
Brittney and Linsey O'Brien.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Easter Seals Southern Georgia, 
1906 Palmyra Road, Albany, GA 31701, or to Lights of Love at Phoebe Foundation, 
Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, P.O. Box 1828, Albany, GA 31703.
