Clyde A. Stevenson Jr.

CAMILLA — Dr. Clyde A. Stevenson Jr., 85, of South Harney Street, Camilla, died 
Thursday, October 31, 2002, at Mitchell County Hospital.

The graveside funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Oakview Cemetery with the 
Rev. Gene Yelverton officiating.

Pallbearers will be Horace Gilliard, Erman Lundy, Dan Palmer Jr., Donald 
Watson, John Harter, Colon Herrington, Bobby Jones, Clifford Lee and Duane 
Phelps.

A native of Camilla, Mitchell County, Dr. Stevenson was born September 5, 1917. 
His parents were the late Dr. Clyde A. Stevenson Sr. and Ruth Walker Stevenson. 
He was a retired dentist. Dr. Stevenson was an Army/Air Force veteran of World 
War II. He was a member of Camilla United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Louise H. Stevenson of Camilla; son, David 
Stevenson of Atlanta; daughter, Mary Ryan of Burlington, NC; sister, Lucretia 
Watts of Hampton, VA; and four grandchildren.

The family will accept family and friends at their residence, 144 S. Harney 
St., Camilla, GA.

Camilla, GA 31730, or DeSoto Trail Library, 145 E. Broad Street, Camilla, GA 
31730.
