Steward-Hibbler ALBANY — Marie C. Steward-Hibbler, 73, of East Saint Louis, IL, died Friday, December 20, 2002, at Saint Mary's Hospital in East St. Louis. The funeral will be at noon Saturday at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Shellman with interment in the church cemetery. Elder John Wayne Leggett will officiate. A native of Randolph County, Mrs. Steward-Hibbler was born February 25, 1929, and attended Randolph County public schools. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Rosemary Nwosu, Edward Riley Jenkins, Reginald Jenkins and Sereatha Ann Jenkins-Wedlow, all of California; a devoted friend, Lucius Clarence Johnson of East St. Louis, IL; her sisters, Essie Stevens of Edison, Mamie Zackery and Mary Thomas, both of Daytona Beach, FL; Pastor Louise Washington of Albany; her brothers, Arthur Blackmon of Cocoa, FL, and Alvin Blackmon of Chicago, IL; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The family of Mrs. Hibbler will receive friends and relatives at the home of her sister, Louise Washington, of 509 Westover Blvd., Apt. 1005, Albany.
