T.” Stewart, Jr., 82, of Albany, died Friday, March 24, 2006 at Palmyra Nursing Home. His funeral service will be TUESDAY 11 AM at Kimbrell-Stern with interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Nancy Scarbrough will officiate. Mr. Stewart was born March 8, 1924 in Jefferson County, FL, to Allen and Rose Lee Stewart. He has resided in Albany since he was a young boy. He attended Dougherty County schools and is a charter member of Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church. He worked with his father in the family owned logging business until going to work for and retiring from Water, Gas, and Light of Albany. He was preceded in death be a sister: Verga Ellen Hill. Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife: Christine F. Stewart; daughter: Gwen Zolomy and her husband Mike; a son: Ted Stewart and his wife Mary; daughter Connie Janelle, all of Albany; 9 grandchildren: Andy Westmoreland and his wife Lynne, Saucier, MS. Traci Marshall and her husband Bill, Albany, Cathy Adams and her husband Leonard, Eastonollee, GA, Chris Westmoreland and his wife Tracy, Albany, Chris Zolomy and his wife Christy, LaGrange, GA, Christy Wilkerson and her husband Lee, Albany, Tiffany Stewart, Valdosta, Brook House and her husband Jeremy, New Orleans, LA, Ryan Duffy and his wife Mason, Albany; 21 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; 3 sisters: Ann West, Alpharetta, GA, Sara Hackett and her husband Dave, Lake Geneva, WI, Dioneca Denson, Alpharetta; a brother: John Stewart and his wife Barbara, Albany; several nieces and nephews. The family is at 1111 11th Ave., and they will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern on Monday from 6-8 PM. Those desiring may send memorials to the Hospice organization of their choice.
