Kenneth Randall Stokes “Ken O’Brien”, 47, of 1703 Whispering Pines Road, 
Albany, Ga., died Monday, March 12, 2007 at Palmyra Medical Centers. Visitation 
will be held Tuesday, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. 
Another visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. (CST) 
and the funeral service will be held  at 7:00 p.m. at Perry Funeral Home, 
Centre, AL. Interment will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens on Thursday. 

A native of Centre, AL. Mr. Stokes had resided in Albany since 1994 moving from 
Centre, AL. He was the Home décor and paint department manger at Lowe’s and was 
a former D.J. with Clear Channel and Cumulus Broadcasting Company. 

 Mr. Stokes was a member of Piedmont Church of God in Piedmont, AL. He was 
preceded in death by his parents, Herman Frank Stokes and Iva Nett Freeman 
Stokes and a sister, Dorothy Gardner. 

Survivors include a sister, Irene Tucker (John) of Glencoe, Al; two brothers, 
Ray Stokes (Kathy) of Gadsden, Al and Ricky Stokes (Tina) of Centre, AL, bother-
in-law, Pete Gardner and several nieces and nephews.
