The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home with interment in Pine Lawn Gardens. The Rev. Henry Bass will officiate. A native of Early County, Mr. Temples was born July 15, 1921. He was a retired engineer for the State Department of Transportation and was a retired Deputy Sheriff for Early County. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. His parents were the late Ashley Hill Temples Sr. and Ruby May Smith Temples. He was a member of Magnolia Lodges #86 FA&M and the Hasan Temple. He was also a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion. Mr. Temples served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Louis Temples of Blakely; five sons, Mike Temples of Cumming, Jay Temples of Blakely, Butch Paul of Dawson, Edward Temples and Danny Temples; a brother, Milton Temples of Lakeland, FL. Visitation will be 2 p.m. until the funeral hour today.
