Jack Thomas Jr. ATLANTA — Luther Jackson Thomas Jr. passed away at his home Wednesday, November 6, 2002, from Parkinson's disease. He was born in Thomasville, GA, on August 20, 1935. He graduated from Albany High School, after which he served in the United States Army. He graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in architecture. Mr. Thomas had his own architectural firm in Atlanta for 23 years. He was an active member of North Avenue Presbyterian Church for 37 years, where he served as a deacon. Survivors are his wife of 39 years, Bobo Breedlove Thomas of Atlanta; daughter, Martha Bolling Thomas of Atlanta; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Thomas Fry and Matt Fry of Atlanta; granddaughter, Kayla Thomas Fry of Atlanta; his sisters and their husbands, Gwen and Gerald McCook, Connie and David Pinkston, Joye and Carl Hadarits and Debbie and Gene McLean; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Frances and Terrell Bridges. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends also mourn his death. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Felicite Thomas. We thank the Lord for his friendly spirit that will be carried on through the many hearts he touched. A funeral service will be held at North Avenue Presbyterian Church, 607 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, at 2 p.m. Sunday with Dr. Scot Weimer and the Rev. Charles Hardwick officiating. Visitors will be welcome prior to the service in the Eldridge Room, from 1 p.m.- 2 p.m. Interment will be at Leesburg Cemetery in Leesburg, GA Monday at noon with the Rev. Matthew Fry officiating.
