Jesse Lee Thompson

SYLVESTER — Jesse Lee Thompson, 83, of Shingler, died Sunday, January 19, 2003, 
at his residence.

The remains have been cremated and no service will be held at this time.

A native of Fulton County, Mr. Thompson was born February 21, 1918. He had 
lived in Worth County since 1987, moving here from Snellville. He had retired 
after 40 years with Colonial Stores as a butcher. Mr. Thompson's parents were 
the late Ross Thompson and Cleo Williams Thompson. He was the widower of Ruth 
Lumpkin Thompson.

Survivors include a son, Mercer Thompson of Snellville; three grandsons; three 
great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cecil and Edith Lumpkin of 
Shingler, Milton and Dori Lumpkin of Lizella, Flora L. Dutton of Atlanta, Joan 
Lumpkin of Shingler, and Margaret Lumpkin of Coverdale; and a number of nieces 
and nephews.
