Vearl J. Thompson

ALBANY — Vearl J. Thompson, 57, of Timber Lane, died Thursday, January 23, 
2003, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday at Kimbrell-Stern. The Rev. Hilton 
Gillespie will officiate.

A native of Donalsonville, GA, Mr. Thompson had lived in Albany most of his 
life. He worked many years with U.S. Express as a truck driver and also as an 
automotive mechanic with Firestone and Aultman Cadillac.

He is survived by his wife, Marion Knowles Thompson of Albany; two sons, Brian 
Thompson and his wife Bebe of Whigam, GA and Michael T. Thompson and his wife 
Malaya of Asheville, NC; two stepsons, Anthony James Knowles and his wife 
Vanessa of Blue Springs, MO, and Michael Leon Knowles and his wife Valerie of 
Albany; two brothers, Cecil Thompson and Roger Thompson, both of Leesburg; 
mother, Mildred Grayson of Leesburg; six grandchildren, several nieces and 
nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 P.M.- 8:30 P.M. today at Kimbrell-Stern.
